Democratic education reform

Democratic education reform is a federal system that promotes and encourages administrators in the federal alliance to champion America’s public school children. Their primary agenda is to encourage the federal alliance to embrace some policies that will reform the American education to better learning opportunities. Some of these policies are expanding public school choice, rewarding quality teachers, quality education in the schools, accountability in schools and increased financial aid in colleges.

The agendas advocated by the Democratic Education Reform are to ensure that every student has equal access to the education that they do deserve. Also, tutors have to come up with ideas for the community to thrive. They seek to bring teachers and the educational sector together, parents and student, business leaders’ and labor in the effort of developing progressive education reform solutions that put the children first ensuring they do get a better education that will be sustainable in their personal growth. The goal to of bringing all the stakeholders involved in the education sector is to ensure their opinions are aired out and their thoughts considered to deliver the reforms of the education sector.

Accountability from school teachers ensuring that they do work correctly will ensure the improvement in the quality in the country as both the parents, teachers and the school management are involved in the accounting of funds and the school programs.

Quality teacher and preparation

Competent and qualified teachers are essential for the improvement of the quality in the education sector. However, students in high poverty schools are likely to be taught by unsatisfactory teachers compared to the students in the low poverty schools. Promoting innovation and the reforms in the teacher preparation space to improve the quality of education.

Resource Equality

Adequate and equitable allocation of resources for every child should be given to meet their needs; this will improve the quality of education in the country. Addressing inequality in funding is essential in the efforts to reform and to improve the education sector. Therefore, efforts should be placed to ensure that public education funding is leveled up in disadvantaged schools.

Extension of learning time and increase to access to effective teachers and better facilities to students irrespective of their race, socioeconomic status and their region so they may be in a position to access high-quality education.

Quality and Affordable Education

Students from low-income families and students of color do suffer from lack of quality institutions of higher education and low levels of degree competition. Ensuring that everyone is getting quality and affordable will improve the level of education in the country as well as reducing the inequality among people in the race and socioeconomic background.

Public School Choice

This policy will ensure that parents deserve the right to select their preferred school including district and public school. This will ensure equality of opportunity and transparency. The aim is to extend the opportunity to low-income parents who send their children to local school out of necessity rather than choice.
